Residential Refrigerator Replacement Program

If residential Meade County RECC members purchase an Energy Star refrigerator on or after May 15, 2012 for their residences and have the old units recycled by the dealer, members may apply for a $100 incentive.

Members must mail or drop off their detailed store invoice to any Meade County RECC office to apply for the incentive.

Incentive checks will be mailed to the member’s address. Please allow up to six weeks for processing.

A cash register receipt alone is not acceptable. It simply does not list the detail required to process the incentive. An actual detailed invoice/delivery ticket must be submitted and must include the following - without exception:

• Date of purchase
• Itemized Energy Star refrigerator, including manufacturer and model number
• Energy Star Certification must be noted by the dealer on the invoice or by separate attachment.
• Dealer must note on the invoice that the old unit has been recycled.
• Meade County RECC member’s account number, name, address, and phone number

Please consider the above as a checklist to be sure all required documentation is submitted. If all items are not duly noted, incentive will not be processed. It will not be returned to the member, but will be filed as incomplete. If members do not receive their incentive(s) after six weeks, they may call 1-877-276-5353 extension 3123 to inquire.
